Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLBs) is a system that allows compare different language tests that are accepted by the immigration service as proof of language proficiency.
IELTS test results are not the same as CLB levels. And this is quite important for those who are going to immigrate. Because the minimum CLB level 7, which is required by the Federal Skilled Worker program, is 6 according to IELTS. And 7 IELTS is generally 9 by CLB for reading, writing and speaking. The same goes for the TEF French proficiency test. Keep this in mind when filling out the calculator!
